Only the Support class gets tear gas, though. YES NO Tear gas is quite popular here, but you can use that gas mask at the expense of your field of view. As with BF2, there isn't a whole lot you can do on the ground to eliminate an airborne target, especially if they know how to stick and move and keep their distance. The enemy sweeps the deck regularly, though, so you're better off inside, preferably with other friendlies. You'll find yourself fighting from bulkhead to bulkhead, working your way through the belly of the ship, the deck, and the control tower. On this map, the good guys have several flag points on the boat, all of which can be captured, while the enemy invades from a permanent onshore base.
You'll fight in industrial zones surrounded by wildnerness, and larger industrial zones surrounded by wilderness, but you'll also engage in intense close-quarters battle on an aircraft carrier. (And note that you'll want to install Special Forces before installing the latest patch - otherwise, you'll have to patch the game after installing the expansion pack.) The eight new maps add a more European flavor, as the Russian Spetznaz, Navy SEALs, MEC Special Forces and "Rebels" fight for control of zones in typical BF fashion. Some also said that BF2 emphasized vehicles at the expense of the relatively fragile infantry. Instead of the often thrilling chokepoint battles, a group of people could harass the enemy for an entire round just by flanking around the fringes. On the other hand, BFV didn't received quite as warm of a response as its predecessor, due in part to some weapon balance issues and a fundamentally different approach to map design that largely carried over into BF2. While the original Battlefield got not one but two expansion packs, the Vietnam sequel only got an updated repackaging, leading many to assume that Battlefield 2 would not get the extra love either.
